Does DeskBot need the internet?

No. Core conversation, expressions and motion all work locally. Connectivity is only for external services, downloading MODs or firmware updates.

Do I have to assemble it?

No. The finished version works out of the box — connect Wi-Fi on first boot. The developer edition is a bare-board kit for secondary development.

Can it become my own character?

Yes. With the face editor and custom firmware you can turn DeskBot into your own character in look and voice — one of the reasons we offer custom builds.
